Plant Specifications
Rosemarinus officinalis ‘White Flower’. Also known as ‘Albus’ or Albifloris.
Perennial. Full Sun. Height 28” – 36”.
A Rosemary whose name has been applied to a variety of different cultivars, ranging from white to pale blue and does not denote a specific clone. The variety we sell here at Nature’s Herb Farm displays a brilliant pure white blossom over tall, upright green stems.
In the Garden
This rosemary has few equals in the garden. A mature specimen may reach five to six feet in height and diameter. Showy with fluffy white blossoms in the Spring and Fall, its highly aromatic and very attractive to bees. White Flower grows well in all types of soil, except heavy clay ‘gumbo’ soil. This Rosemary prefers garden growth over pots or containers. Another one of Mary Dunford’s favorites because of its beauty and its ability to survive Texas winters.
Plant Uses
Another superb culinary herb for use in just about any recipe: Vegetables, Stews, Soups and Meats – particularly lamb. Pairs beautifully with garlic.
