Plant Specifications
Salvia Officinalis minumus Dwarf Garden Sage. Perennial. Full Sun to Partial Sun. Height 12” – 14”.
Another small compact sage that grows into a tight mound with narrow, gray green leaves and lavender blue, white lined flowers.
In the Garden
This sage, like some others, prefers its roots to be in a compact environment and will thrive in low growing planters and containers. Deadheading (removing the faded blooms) flowers will encourage more blooms. Perfect in between tight fitting stones or garden walls, this sage handles hot humid conditions in south Texas very well.
Plant Uses
While this sage may be a petite version of regular Garden Sage, it has the same intense flavor and can be used in any recipe calling for sage.
