Plant Specifications
Thymus vulgaris ‘ Lanicaulis’. Hardy Perennial. Sun. Height: 3” – 4”
A prostrate, fuzzy variety of thyme. Dark green foliage with a delightful pine scent.
In the Garden
This is one of the few ornamental thymes that can endure the Texas heat much better than other thymes. When the mercury soars, this plant will die down and rest during the hottest period. A rapid grower, the Lanicaulis Thyme sends out stem runners that will elegantly trail over a wall or in between rocks. Its blooms are a delicate pale pink color. After the high heat of summer, trim back bare stems for new growth during the cooler temperatures.
Plant Uses
For Ornamental Use only. Not a culinary thyme.
